Spencer “Von” leads acquisitions and asset management at The Atkins Group, focusing on investment strategy, national growth, and the firm’s next generational chapter.
A former UCLA football player, Von studied Political Science and Entrepreneurship while interning at Wedgewood, Inc., where he worked under two of the firm’s senior leaders.

Upon graduating, he joined Eastdil Secured, gaining experience across all major asset classes. After Eastdil, Von returned home to help guide his family’s transition, oversee alternative investments, and launch a Co-GP industrial strategy. He later co-founded two startups — Still Life, a human performance company training executives in volitional state control and communication, and Balanced Tiger, a plant-based nutritional brand. He also founded Expect Miracles, a personal advisory and investment company focused on direct ventures and co-investment opportunities across real estate, consumer, and wellness sectors.

Outside of work, Von is an avid backpacker, skier, and meditator — and he’s always up for a great book recommendation or quote. His current favorite, by Lao Tzu, is: “Do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving until the right action arises by itself?”
